How often do new Ao No/Blue Exorcist chapters come out in Japan?

I don't really know much but if new manga chapters come out each month and 1 chapter is about equivalent to an episode then wont the anime be caught up in no time? Also how long until we stop getting a new volume every 2 months in america? Do you think the anime will share the same fate a the original Fullmetal alchemist series?
